Tiny Bad Photos of Big Bad Cities
...is a collection of 100 photographs from assorted cities, taken on various adventures and trips over the years. This collection of images was put together for a joint gallery show loosely themed by “city” imagery in late 2018, and followed by a solo showing (with a small number of the 100 originals omitted) in early 2019. The 2019 showing of “Tiny Bad Photographs of Big Bad Cities” formed the base idea for this book, bringing back the complete set of 100 images from the initial showing.
The images in this book are identical in size to the gallery prints, but - as with each of the joint and solo showings – different in order and layout and specific to the space and form in which the photographs will be viewed, analyzed and ideally, enjoyed.
“Tiny Bad Photos of Big Bad Cities” is a look at the way a city works, the way a city is put together, the way a city exists. To me, it’s the way a city lives.
